I can’t register my projector in the Epson Projector Management software; the message “Failed to update the projector information" appears. What should I do?

  • Do the following:

    1. Create a web control password on the projector. To create the password, select Menu > Network > Network Configuration > Basic > Web ControlPassword. Enter a password up to 8 characters long, and then select Yes.
    2. Open a web browser. Enter the projector’s IP address in the browser’s address bar.
    3. Select Advanced.

      Note: If you see a security certificate message, select Continue to (Unsafe). If you see the message "Your Connection isn’t private", select Advanced.

    4. Enter EPSONWEB as the Username and the Web control password you created in the projector's network settings menu as the Password.
    5. Select Network > Basic, and create a Monitor Password. Select Apply or Set. The screen will look like one of the screens shown below.


    6. Open the Epson Projector Management software. Register the projector by entering the Monitor Password you created in the previous step.
