I'm not able to print at 100 PPM print speed. What should I do?
-
Make sure you use the product's facedown paper eject tray for your output. The 100 PPM print speed is supported when you use this tray. The following can also affect print speed:
- Low humidity and/or high temperatures may increase the frequency of ink flushing. When this happens, the speed may drop to 86 PPM.
- When duplex printing, the print speed may slow down if the document requires heavy ink coverage or density or if the margins are less than 9 mm. This is necessary to prevent paper jams and/or print quality problems.
- The print speed will slow down if a print job is sent when the printer was already printing a job at reduced speed. When this happens, the printer cannot resume a faster print speed.
To return to the faster print speed, press the interrupt icon on the product's LCD screen and wait for the print job to finish or the paper to run out. The 100 PPM print speed will resume with your next print job.
