Commonly Asked Questions

No.  Both of the Epson QL-Series models ship as body-only.  With eleven lenses to choose from, the installer can specify which Epson Precision Lens best matches the installation requirement for the customer.
No. Epson Q-Series projectors are only available from Epson Authorized Resellers. Click the link below to find an Epson Authorized Reseller nearest you.
Although both of these models produce very high color and white lumen output, they only require standard 110V – 120V wall power. This is due to a unique Laser Array and Vaper Cooling Chamber technology specifically developed for these models.

This is a tough decision, and you really need to see the projectors for yourself to determine which is best for your theater. However, if your theater viewing is always lights-off – very little to no ambient light – the QB1000 and even the QL3000 are outstanding dark room theater projectors.

This is also dependent on your theater screen size. If you have a dedicated dark room theater that could accommodate a 300” screen, the QL7000 is an outstanding choice.

However, if you tend to watch content in your theater with the lights on or with any ambient light, the QL3000 and QL7000 are simply awesome.

Yes! In fact, many of us at Epson are serious gamers – both PC and Consoles. All three Q-Series projectors are capable of running up to 4K at 120Hz natively. And they all have Auto Low Latency Modes (ALLM) with input lag times below 20ms – making them ideal for serious gamers.

And yes, gaming at 4K with HDR at 60FPS or 120FPS on a 180-Inch screen is simply epic.

FYI, both the Xbox® Series X and PlayStation® 5 Pro see all three Epson Q-Series projectors as 4K HDR 120Hz displays.

Yes. You can order any of the Epson Q-Series projectors in either black or white. And the QL3000 and QL7000 have a removable top plate – allowing for custom wrapping or painting to better fit within your installation environments.
No. All Epson Q-Series ship with a remote and color-matched power cable in the box.

Yes. The QB1000 includes an integrated VRX 15-Element Precision Glass fully motorized lens for zoom, focus, and lens shifting. Making installation simple, you can precisely shift the lens up to 96% horizontally and up to 47% vertically without any loss in picture distortion or clarity. You can also set the zoom and focus, then store all the settings in one of 10 lens memory presets.

Yes. Epson shares this passion for image quality and has worked with Portrait Displays to make the Q-Series lineup ISF Certified. This allows an ISF Certified calibrator to professionally calibrate Epson Q-Series projectors to the highest level of picture quality for the any given room and screen.

Yes. All three Epson Q-Series projectors easily integrate into various home automation and remote monitoring systems, including Control4®, Crestron® control systems, and others.

Yes. All Epson Q-Series projectors utilize our latest 20,000-hour solid-state laser light source with an advanced vapor cooled thermal transfer design that also provides instant power-on with no bulbs to be replaced.
