How do I scan using my product's control panel?

  • You can scan an original and save it to a connected computer using your product's control panel. The computer must be on the same network as the product.

You can save the scanned file as a PDF file. You can also set up custom scan settings using Document Capture Pro (Windows) or Document Capture (Mac) and automatically scan using those settings on your product control panel.

Note: You must have Document Capture Pro and Epson Scan 2 installed on your computer to select it as a destination when scanning from the product. If you are using Document Capture Pro Server on Windows Server, set the Operation Mode to Server Mode using Web Config or the product's control panel.

    1. Place your original on the product for scanning.

Note: To scan a multi-page document, place all of the pages in the ADF.

    2. Press the  home button, if necessary.
    3. Select Scan.
    4. Select Computer.
    5. Select Select Computer to choose a computer where Document Capture Pro is installed, and select it when it appears.

Note: The computer you want to scan to must be on the same network as the product. The product can display 110 computers on which Document Capture Pro is installed. If Server Mode is set as the Operation Mode, you do not have to select a computer.

      The Select Job screen appears.
    6. Select one of the scan job options.

Note: The default scan job is Scan to PDF. Any additional scan job options must be added in Document Capture Pro (Windows) or Document Capture (Mac). If there is only one scan job, you do not have to perform this step.

    7. Select Save. Document Capture Pro scans the original to the connected computer.
