How do I replace the maintenance tank?

    Replacing the Ink Maintenance Tank

    Replace the ink maintenance tank (maintenance box 1) on the right side of the printer.

    1. Press the right ink cartridge cover to open it.
       
    2. Use the handle on the bottom of the maintenance tank to carefully pull it out of the product without tilting the tank.
       

      Warning: If ink gets on your skin, wash it thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them immediately with water. If ink gets into your mouth, spit it out and see a doctor right away.

    3. Remove the new maintenance tank from the package.

      Caution:
      Do not touch the chip on the side of the maintenance tank or you may damage the product. Do not remove the film from the top of the maintenance tank.

    4. Insert the new maintenance tank in the slot.
       
    5. Place the used maintenance tank in the bag supplied with the new tank and seal the bag.
       
    6. Close the ink cartridge cover.
       

      Note: Dispose of used maintenance tanks carefully.

    Replacing the Borderless Maintenance Tank

    Replace the borderless maintenance tank (maintenance box 2) inside the printer.

    1. Lift the edge of the output tray to remove it.
       
    2. Move the lock lever to the unlock position.
       
    3. Use the handle on the bottom of the maintenance tank to carefully pull it out of the product without tilting the tank.
       
    4. Remove the new maintenance tank from the package.

      Caution:
      Do not touch the chip on the side of the maintenance tank or you may damage the product.

    5. Insert the new maintenance tank and push it firmly in the slot.
       
    6. Place the used maintenance tank in the bag supplied with the new tank and seal the bag.
       

      Warning: If ink gets on your skin, wash it thoroughly with soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them immediately with water. If ink gets into your mouth, spit it out and see a doctor right away.

    7. Return the lock lever to the locked position.
       
    8. Replace the output tray.
       

      Note: Dispose of used maintenance tanks carefully.
